Ritual Manggalang Babi Ambat Etnik Batak Toba : Kajian Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

This thesis is entitled Manggalang Babi Ambat Ritual of Batak Toba Ethnic: Local Wisdom Study. This study aims to describe the stages of the Manggalang Babi Ambat Ritual of the Batak Toba ethnic group and describe the values of local wisdom contained in the Manggalang Babi Ambat Ritual. The theory used in analyzing the data is the theory of local wisdom proposed by Robert Sibarani. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that the stages of the Manggalang Babi Ambat Ritual consist of five stages, namely: 1) Martoguan, 2) Marhara, 3) Martabar-tabar, 4) Mananti, 5) Pasahathon Pelean. Local Wisdom in the Manggalang Babi Ambat Ritual with Local Wisdom Values 1) Politeness, 2) Harmony and Conflict Resolution, 3) Commitment, 4) Hard Work, 5) Discipline, 6) Mutual Cooperation, 7) Preservation and Cultural Creativity, 8) Positive Thinking.
