dc.description.abstract | This study analyzes the water quality of the Mencirim River in Binjai City using parameters like Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), E-Coli, Total Coliform, and Total Phosphate to determine its pollution status. The river, crucial for various human activities, is susceptible to pollution from agricultural runoff and other sources. Water samples were taken from upstream, midstream, and downstream points, and analyzed both in situ and ex situ. Results showed that while some parameters were within acceptable limits, others such as COD, BOD, and fecal contamination indicators exceeded standards, especially in the upstream and midstream sections. This study underscores the need for continuous monitoring and effective management to improve the river's water quality. | en_US |
