The aims of this study is to analyze the use of deixis in Mark Zuckerberg's speech at Meta Connect 2024 using George Yule's Theory. In addition, this study also examines the context of the situation to illustrate how the context of the situation creates effective communication based on Halliday and Hasan's theory. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the data. This research reveals that there are three types of deixis used in Mark Zuckerberg's speech at Meta Connect 2024. Person deixis is found 363 times (69.66%), Spatial deixis 178 times (19.50%), and the least temporal deixis is found 99 times (10.84%). Based on these findings, the dominance of person deixis indicates that the use of person deixis emphasizes Mark's position, making the message he conveys more convincing in building closeness with the audience and ensuring that the explanation of the product is conveyed effectively. In addition, the context of the situation is also evident in this speech, where the elements of field, tenor, and mode work together to create effective communication, as seen in Mark Zuckerberg's speech. Overall, these results show that the use of deixis and situational context support each other to clarify message delivery and create effective communication.en_US
