Analisis Semiotika Pola Asuh Keluarga Dua Budaya Dalam Konten Kanal YouTube Ueno Family JAPAN

Abstract

This research is titled Semiotics Analysis of Bicultural Family Parenting in Ueno Family JAPAN YouTube Channel Content. This research aims to analyze the parenting of a bi cultural family in the content of the Ueno Family JAPAN YouTube channel. This research uses new media communication theory and Roland Barthes semiotic analysis which includes denotation, connotation, and myth. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data analysis technique was conducted by analyzing visual and verbal signs in five selected videos on the Ueno Family JAPAN YouTube channel. The results showed that the Ueno family applies authoritative parenting that combines the values of love, discipline, and democratic communication, and represents a blend of Indonesian and Japanese cultures.
