dc.description.abstractOverdrain in batteries is a common issue that can lead to permanent damage, especially when the battery voltage drops below the safe threshold. This condition can result in a decrease in energy storage capacity and significantly shorten the battery’s lifespan. Therefore, an effective monitoring and control system is necessary to prevent overdrain. This study aims to develop a remote battery monitoring and control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that provides real-time information on battery conditions. The system utilizes an Atmega 328 microcontroller combined with voltage, current, and temperature sensors to obtain accurate battery condition data. This data is then transmitted to an IoT platform and can be accessed via mobile devices, enabling users to monitor and control the battery with ease. In addition to monitoring, the system is equipped with a control algorithm that provides early warnings when the battery condition approaches the safety limit. If a potential overdrain is detected, preventive actions will be automatically taken, such as disconnecting the load or activating other protection mechanisms to prevent battery damage. Testing results indicate that the system can accurately monitor battery conditions and respond quickly to implement protective measures. Another advantage of this system is its reliability in improving efficiency and extending battery life. Thus, this monitoring system can serve as an effective solution for various battery-dependent applications, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and portable devices that require optimat power management.en_US
