    Abstract
    M. ROFIQUL FIRDAUS SIREGAR. Effect of Volume and Time of Banana Peel Liquid Organic Fertilizer on the Growth and Yield of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) supervised by Nini Rahmawati. The use of organic fertilizer is a more environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative in efforts to increase the productivity of sweet potato plants, such as the use of liquid organic fertilizer from kepok banana peel waste. This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from banana peel on the growth and production of sweet potato plants (Ipomoea batatas L.). This research was conducted at the Research Center for Tubers, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan City, North Sumatra Province, with an altitude of ± 32 meters below sea level, starting in October 2024 until completion, using a group randomized design with 2 factors. The first factor is the volume of watering liquid organic fertilizer from kepok banana peel with 4 levels of 0, 100, 150, 200 ml / plant, and the second factor is the time of application of liquid organic fertilizer from kepok banana peel with 3 levels consisting of 7, 14 and 21 days. The results showed that the treatment of kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer watering volume had a significant effect on the length of tubers per sample, diameter of tubers per sample, number of tubers per sample, tuber weight per sample, tuber weight per plot, average tuber weight, grading class A and B tubers, crown wet weight, and harvest index. The treatment of watering volume of liquid organic fertilizer from kepok banana peel 200 ml/plant showed the best treatment. The time treatment of kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the parameters of vine length at the age of 2 - 4 weeks after planting and the length of tubers per sample, where the best treatment was found in the 14-day time treatment. The interaction between watering volume and watering time of kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on all observation parameters.
