    Abstract
    This study aimed to examine the effects of applying water hyacinth liquid organik fertilizer and humic acid on the chemical and physical properties of soil, as well as on sweet corn production on Ultisol soil in Serba Jadi. The research was conducted in Pulau Tagor Village, Serba Jadi Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency, and analyzed at the Soil Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, and the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP) Laboratory in Medan, from February to June 2025. The study used a Randomized Block Design with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor was water hyacinth liquid organik fertilizer, consisting of 3 treatments: without fertilizer (E1), 540 mL/plot, and 1080 mL/plot. The second factor was humic acid, consisting of 3 treatments: without humic acid (A1), 5 kg/ha, and 10 kg/ha. Observed parameters included soil total N, available P, exchangeable K, pH, kerapatan isi, total porosity, ear length without husk, ear weight without husk, weight of 1000 kernels, and corn sweetness level. The combination of water hyacinth liquid organik fertilizer and humic acid treatments can increase available P, exchangeable K, ear length without husk, ear weight without husk, 1000-seed weight, and sweetness level.
