dc.description.abstract | Ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism development that not only preserves nature and culture, but also improves the welfare of local communities. Puncak Tangke Tabu, located in Sempajaya Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, which is in the Bukit Barisan Forest Park Area, has great potential to be developed as an ecotourism destination. This study aims to analyze the ecotourism potential in the area and formulate a development strategy based on the 4ASC concept (Attraction, Amenities, Accessibility, Ancillary, Safety, and Comfort). The research method used is qualitative with an observation, interview, and documentation approach. The data obtained were analyzed using the SWOT method to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in ecotourism development. The results of the study indicate that Puncak Tangke Tabu has great potential as an ecotourism area based on nature and local culture, supported by natural beauty, cultural uniqueness, and tourism facilities that are starting to develop. However, there are several challenges, such as infrastructure that needs to be improved, management that is not yet optimal, and community participation that needs to be strengthened. Based on the SWOT analysis, the proposed strategies include developing tourism facilities based on the 4ASC concept (Attraction, Amenities, Accessibility, Ancillary), increasing promotion, empowering local communities, and synergy between the government, business actors, and the community. This research is expected to contribute to the development of ecotourism at Puncak Tangke Tabu so that it can increase tourist attractions, preserve the environment, and encourage the improvement of the local community's economy. | en_US |
