| dc.description.abstract | Background: Drug abuse is a serious issue threatening social stability, health, and
security in North Padang Lawas Regency. Although prevention efforts have involved law
enforcement and community participation, their effectiveness is still hindered by a lack of
public awareness and limited resources. The role of families, drug prevention
socialization, government policies, and the media are suspected to be key factors
influencing public order and drug prevention.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of family roles, drug prevention
socialization, government policies, and the role of the media on the effectiveness of public
order and drug prevention in North Padang Lawas Regency.
Method: This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was
collected through questionnaires distributed to 240 respondents across 12 sub-districts.
Data analysis was conducted using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption
tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing with SPSS.
Results: The findings indicate that family roles (X₁) and drug prevention socialization
(X₂) have a significant influence on the effectiveness of public order and drug prevention
(Y). Meanwhile, government policies (X₃) and the role of the media (X₄) do not have a
significant impact. Drug prevention socialization has the strongest influence (coefficient
0.857), followed by family roles (coefficient 0.340).
Conclusion: Family roles and drug prevention socialization are the dominant factors in
supporting public order and drug prevention. There is a need to enhance socialization
programs involving families and to evaluate government policies and media roles to
improve effectiveness. | en_US |
