Abstract

Background: This paper is entitled Figure of Speech in The Movie Enola Holmes I. Objectives: The paper discuss the types of Figure of Speech used in the movie Enola Holmes I. Method: Furthermore, in this paper, the writer used qualitative descriptive methods to describe Figure of Speech found in the movie Enola Holmes I. Result: Types of Figure of Speech found in the movie Enola Holmes I are Personification, Metaphor, Simile, Irony and Hyperbole. The most dominant figure of speech used is metaphor. Conclusion: It dominates because, in the movie, the use of figure of speech as metaphors serves to enrich the narrative and give depth to characters and situations. Also, metaphors help the audience understand more complex emotions and themes in a more visual and imaginative way.
