dc.description.abstract | Medan City is one of the metropolitan cities that has a high level of crowd and population density and has many problems, one of which is a poor transportation system that results in congestion, delays, and air and noise pollution. This study aims to determine the simulation of intersection performance on S.M Raja – Halat road, Brigjend Katamso - Mesjid Raya road and Brigjend Katamso – Pelangi road before and after the operation of the underpass at the intersection Ir.H.Juanda - Brigjend Katamso road using vissim software and data obtained from traffic surveys such as vehicle volume surveys, road geometrics, Signalized cycle times and vehicle speeds. Furthermore, the data obtained from the results of the vissim software simulation are queue length, delay, and level of service. For the results of simulation data at the Ir.H.Juanda - Brigjend Katamso road intersection before the operation of the underpass (Do Nothing), where the average queue length is 274.43 m, the average delay is 307.38 sec/veh, So that the average level of service of the intersection is obtained in the form of F (Very Bad). at the intersection .Ir.H.Juanda - Brigjend Katamso road after the operation of the underpass (Do Something), where the average queue length is 0.00 m, the average delay is 0.00 sec/veh, So that the average intersection service level is obtained in the form of A (Very Good). at the intersection Ir.H.Juanda - Brigjend Katamso road after the operation of the underpass with the next 5 years scenario, where the average queue length is 19.53 m, the average delay is 10.34 sec/veh, So that the average intersection service level is obtained in the form of B (Good). So it is clear that there are significant differences between before and after the operation of the underpass such as the results of queue length, delay and level of service which cause new conflicts at the intersections of S.M Raja - Jl.Halat road, Brigjend Katamso - Mesjid Raya road, and Brigjend Katamso – Pelangi road. | en_US |
