The progress of virtual reality (VR) technology in the gaming industry is particularly evident in Japan, a country known as a center of gaming innovation. The purpose of this paper is to examine the application and impact of VR technology in the Japanese gaming industry, with a particular focus on the evolution, development, and implementation of VR games in the Japanese market. The study will use a qualitative approach and will include a literature review and an analysis of popular Japanese VR games and game development companies. The study results indicate that Japan plays an important role in the adoption and development of VR technology in the gaming industry, with major companies such as Sony and Nintendo using VR to enhance the player experience. Furthermore, Japanese VR games not only rely on technology, but also integrate elements of local culture, such as aesthetic elements and unique Japanese narratives, to appeal to both domestic and international consumers. This study will also shed light on challenges facing the Japanese VR gaming industry, such as hardware constraints and user comfort issues, as well as future developments that may open new opportunities for the gaming experience.en_US
