The rapid development of the tourism sector in Indonesia has had a significant impact on the national economy, including in the city of Medan which has experienced an increase in the number of tourists. This drives the need for accommodation facilities that are not only functional, but also have high aesthetic value. Jalan Iskandar Muda, as a strategic area with high land prices, has great potential for the development of mixed-use concept hotels. This concept combines various functions in one building, such as accommodation, shopping centers and entertainment, in order to optimize land use and construction cost efficiency.
In designing this mixed-use hotel, integration between function and aesthetics is the main aspect that is considered. The application of modern architecture was chosen because it emphasizes space efficiency, material innovation and clarity of function, while also being in harmony with the character of the surrounding environment. With this approach, the hotel design not only meets the needs of tourists and local communities, but also creates visual appeal and increases the value of the area as a whole.
