The Effect of Non-Cash Food Assistance and GRDP Growth On Human Development Index in The Highlands of North Sumatra
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a composite indicator that measures the quality of human life based on three main dimensions, namely longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. The Human Development Index is used to asses the success of human development by considering aspects of the community. This study aims to test and analyze the
effect of the Non-Cash Food Assistance and GRDP growth on the Human Development Index in the highlands of North Sumatra in 2009-2024.
Type the research used in this study is quantitative descriptive and the data source used in this study is secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The object of this study is a district in the highlands of North Sumatra. This study uses panel data with a cross section of 5 districts in the highland area and a 15-year time series, namely from 2009-2024. The analysis method used is panel data regression.
The results of this study indicate that the best model is Fixed Effect. Based on the regression results, it is known that the Non-Cash Food Assistance has a negative and significant effect on the Human Development Index. While GRDP growth is not significant to the Human Development Index.
