| dc.description.abstract | Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are disorders of the muscular and skeletal
systems of the body such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints, and spinal
discs, which can cause complaints from mild to severe levels. Based on WHO data,
around 1.71 billion people in the world experience MSDs and are the leading cause
of disability globally. In Indonesia, the 2018 Riskesdas recorded the prevalence of
musculoskeletal disorders at 7.30%, with farmers/farm laborers as the highest
(9.86%). This study aims to determine the factors that influence MSDs complaints
in laying hen farm workers in Denai Sarang Burung Village, Pantai Labu
Subdistrict. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a cross
sectional design and involved 50 workers selected through purposive sampling
technique. Data analysis used T test, F test, R Square test, classical assumption test,
and multiple linear regression. The regression equation obtained is Y = -4.138 +
7.030 X1 + 0.083 X2 + 0.060 X3 - 0.097 X4 + e. The results showed that work
posture has a significant effect partially on MSDs complaints (t-count 36.383 > t
table 1.67943; significance 0.001 < 0.05). In addition, age is also proven to have a
partial effect on MSDs complaints (t-count 3.201 > t-table 1.67943; significance
0.003 < 0.05). In contrast, the variables of smoking habit (t-count 0.934 < t-table
1.67943; significance 0.355 > 0.05) and body mass index (t-count -1.242 < t-table
1.67943; significance 0.221 > 0.05) did not show a statistically significant effect
on MSDs complaints. It is recommended that workers maintain physical condition,
pay attention to ergonomic work postures, adequate rest time, and regularly
perform physical activities to prevent the risk of musculoskeletal disorders | en_US |
