This study aims to analyze the three types of appraisals used, attitude, engagement, and graduation, and explain how they are realized in SEVENTEEN’s Speech in the UNESCO Youth Forum and the selected song “Together”. The research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis based on the appraisal theory framework of Martin & White (2005). The findings reveal distinct appraisal patterns in speech and song. In the speech, attitude appraisal is most frequent with 119 instances (36.46%), with the affect subtype 41 times (12.46%), highlighting the speaker's emotional involvement in addressing social issues and fostering a strong emotional connection with the audience. In the song frequently uses graduation with 44 instances in total, or 37.60%, especially the force subtype, appearing 35 times (29.91%). This includes repetition and intense language, effectively conveying deep emotions and creating an impactful listening experience. This thesis suggests that future research should examine how emotional expression varies across different genres and cultural contexts, exploring how language reflects emotions and enhances the audience.
