Traditional markets play an important role in the economic and social activities of the community, but many do not meet the standards of comfort, sanitation, and safety. This research aims to design Pasar 18 in East Binjai District, North Sumatra, with a behavioral architecture approach, in order to create a more functional space and support positive behavior of visitors and traders. This design is based on inadequate market conditions such as damaged infrastructure, poor sanitation, congestion, and lack of supporting facilities, which have an impact on comfort and productivity. The research method uses a qualitative approach through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The results show that behavior-based design can increase comfort, optimize circulation, improve social interaction, and increase trader productivity. With a design that is more ergonomic and responsive to user behavior, it is hoped that traditional markets can develop better and remain the center of community economic activity.en_US
