Dampak Pandemi Covid-19 terhadap Nilai Tukar Petani Belimbing Manis (Kasus : Desa Namo Riam, Kecamatan Pancur Batu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang)

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Farmer’s Exchange Rate (FER) for sweet starfruit in Namo Riam Village, Pancur Batu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency. The analytical method used in this study is the Paired Sample t-test, with the assistance of SPSS software. The data collected consists of both primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews with respondents using a questionnaire. Based on the analysis results, farmers’ revenue and income increased during the pandemic. This was due to the rise in the selling price of sweet starfruit during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, the Farmer’s Exchange Rate (FER) for sweet starfruit farmers increased from a pre-pandemic score of 226.97 to 243.47 during the pandemic.
