This study aims to determine the influence of grit and job satisfaction on job hopping intention among Generation Z employees in Medan City. Grit is defined as perseverance and passion in achieving long-term goals, while job satisfaction refers to the level of contentment individuals feel towards their jobs. Job hopping intention refers to employees’ tendency to switch jobs within a short period. This research used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 150 Generation Z employees aged 18–30 years with less than two years of work experience. Data were collected through an online questionnaire consisting of three scales: the Grit-S scale, Job Satisfaction scale, and Job Hopping Intention scale. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that grit and job satisfaction simultaneously had a significant effect on job hopping intention, with job satisfaction having a more dominant influence. These findings suggest that high job satisfaction can reduce the intention of Generation Z employees to change jobs, whereas a high level of grit does not significantly reduce their job hopping intention.en_US
