This study aims to analyze Violet Sorrengail character that potrayed in the Novel Fourth Wing and how Violet Sorrengail’s character develops. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher using intrinsic approach that great deal with the text of literary work. Intrinsic approach is the view of literature from inside without any influence from other source. This study used Warren and Wallek’s theory to analyze Violet’s character and Haglund (2012) to analyze her character development. This study used qualitative descriptive method, all data are presented in the form of words and sentences. The results of the study show that physiologically Violet is a weak person. Sociologically, it is shown that Violet’s family has a rider background. Psychologically, Violet is a caring, smart, and determined. In addition, the results of the study also show that Violet Sorrengail develop physiologically, sociologically, and psychologically. Violet changes from physically weak to physically strong, from being alone to socialize with other cadets, and from a coward to being brave.
