Water is a chemical compound that is very important for life. Water has many functions where water is used for organisms and has an important role for humans to survive. Free chlorine (Cl2) has an impact on public health. Chlorine is a strong oxide compound that is dangerous if it enters the human body. Turbidity is an optical property of a solution that causes light passing through it to be absorbed and refracted. This study aims to determine the levels of free chlorine and turbidity in drinking water analyzed in BLKM Medan. Determination of free chlorine levels was carried out using the spectrophotometric method while determination of turbidity levels was carried out using the turbidimetric method. The results of the study showed that of the 12 free chlorine samples and 12 turbidity samples analyzed based on PerMenKes No. 2 of 2023 concerning drinking water, the free chlorine levels of 0.2-0.5 mg/L and turbidity levels <3NTU still met the quality standard.en_US
