The habit of the wrong position makes a person slouch. One of the causes of slouching posture is the habit from using a laptop with an incorrect body position. This practice will end up in cumulative trauma disorders or repetitive stress injuries (RSI) that produce adverse effects on lifelong health. The purpose of this study is to analyze human body posture when in front of a laptop screen, especially considering the effects of time duration and angle. Technological developments can be utilized to support the process of analyzing ideal and non-ideal body posture types through the application of computer vision. This research applies the YOLOv8 method which is used to detect the type of posture, namely whether it is ideal or not ideal. Data collection can be done by recording using an external webcam. Based on the results of tests conducted on the system, it is obtained that the system built with the implementation of the YOLOv8 method is able to detect the type of human body posture with an accuracy of 98%.
