Analisis Faktor Produksi dan Kelayakan Usaha Tani Kemangi di Kecamatan Hamparan Perak Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Analysis of Production Factors and Feasibility of Basil Farming Business in Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency (Under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Rahmanta, M.Si as Supervisor and Dr. Ir. Sinar Indra Kesuma, M.Si as Examiner). This study aims to analyze production factors on the income of basil farmers and analyze the feasibility of basil farming in Hamparan Perak District. This research uses quantitative methods, namely methods that use numbers to solve problems based on existing data in the field to draw a conclusion. The sampling of basil farmers in this study used the Lameshow formula with snowball sampling technique and the sample in this study was 30 basil farmers. The results showed that the production factors that affect the income of basil farming in Hamparan Perak District partially are seed costs (X2) and labor costs (X4). Variables that have no partial effect are land rental costs (X1) and fertilizer costs (X3). The average income received by basil farmers is Rp 3,905,100/growing season. The results of the feasibility calculation obtained an R / C ratio value of 2.57 and the results of the BEP calculation obtained a production BEP of 166.04 bales, a revenue BEP of Rp 520,324, and a price BEP of Rp 1,216. This indicates that basil farming in Hamparan Perak District is feasible to be cultivated or developed.
