dc.description.abstract | This study discusses about values of children's literature in the short story العجيب الانف/Al-Anfu Al-‘Ajību/ ‘The Magic Nose’ by Muhammad Athiyyah al-Ibrashi. The objective of this research is to described the values of children's literature contained in this short story. This study is library research. The study adopted the theory of children's literary values as proposed by Lazim. The data of this research consist of textual elements that reflect children's literary values. The data collection techniques employed are the observation method and note-taking technique. The results of the study indicate that the short story الأنف العجيب/al-anfu al-‘ajību/ ‘The Magic Nose’ by Muhammad Aṭiyyah al-Ibrasyi is rich in children's literary values, which are divided into three main categories, with a total of 39 findings. Educational values dominate with findings related to cleverness and strategy (6), followed by responsibility (4), and ethical use of abilities (2). In the social values category, findings include concern for others (3), solidarity (3), appreciation (2), mutual aid (2), and restoration of rights (2), with tolerance (1) being a less frequently occurring value. Meanwhile, emotional intelligence values highlighted wisdom in conflict (5), thinking before acting (3), empathy (2), and sincerity (2), alongside findings of courage to admit mistakes (1) and a forgiving attitude (1). The conclusion of this study is that theses story not only provides entertainment but also plays a significant role in shaping children's character to be ethical akhlak al-karimah, emotionally intelligent, and socially aware. | en_US |
