    Abstract
The phenomenon of money politics is not a new issue in the study of voter behavior and has become the subject of research by various researchers. Some research findings state that there is a strong and significant relationship between money politics and voter participation. However, there are also those who find that the relationship is significant but weak, and some conclude that there is no relationship at all. This study aims to describe whether money politics has an influence on the political participation of University of North Sumatra students from the Class of 2023 in the 2024 presidential election. Money politics is one of the irregularities in general elections that can influence voter participation in politics. This research employs the theories of money politics, political participation, and general elections. The data analysis technique used in this study is binary logistic regression analysis. The population of this research consists of 8,706 students from the University of North Sumatra, Class of 2023, with a sample of 100 samples. Data was collected using questionnaires distributed to undergraduate students from the 2023 cohort who are eligible to vote. The results of the study show that 76% of respondents exercised their voting rights in the 2024 Presidential Election. Furthermore, 18% of USU students from the Class of 2023 stated that they accepted money politics in the 2024 presidential election.
