This research discussed about Mufasa’s journey in the film Mufasa: The Lion King (2024). The study uses Sylvan Barnet’s five methods of characterisation to determine the kind of person Mufasa is based on what he says, what he does, what others say about him, how people behave around him, and his physical appearance. The study also employed the Hero’s Journey theory by Christopher Vogler, to look at the twelve steps a hero usually takes. The goal is to identify the steps in the movie and explain how Mufasa evolves at each stage of his journey. The method employed is qualitative, utilising data collected from movie dialogues and scenes. The result shows that Mufasa starts as a lost lion who does not know who he is. But through many tests, dangers, and friendships, he grows into a brave leader and finds his true home. In the end, he is not just strong but also wise and kind. This study shows that even animated films can teach us important lessons about life, bravery, and becoming a better person.en_US
