APLIKASI ANDROID ABSENSI MAHASISWA DENGAN VALIDASI LOKASI REAL-TIME MENGGUNAKAN GEOLOCATOR

Abstract

This project aims to develop an Android-based student attendance application with real-time location validation using Flutter as the primary development framework. The application is designed to simplify the attendance recording process in academic environments while minimizing potential fraud, such as proxy attendance. By utilizing the Geolocator library, the system verifies that students are within a predefined radius set by the lecturer before they are allowed to mark their attendance. Firebase is used as the backend, incorporating Firebase Authentication for user login and Cloud Firestore as a real-time database to store user information, class data, and attendance history. Lecturers have the ability to create classes and attendance sessions, while students can join classes and fill in their attendance based on the specified location and time requirements. This project is expected to offer a practical and efficient solution for a more accurate, transparent, and modern classroom attendance system.
