Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Tingkat Pendapatan Usahatani Wortel (Daucus carota L.), (Kasus: Desa Sukanalu, Kecamatan Barusjahe)

Abstract

The income level of carrot farming in Sukanalu Village, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency fluctuates every year, even there is an extreme fluctuation in the price of carrots. The production costs used are increasingly expensive with the harvest results per planting season not as desired by carrot farmers in Sukanalu Village, so that farmers' income and revenue have also decreased drastically from the previous year, because fluctuations in the price of carrots and production costs are increasingly expensive and have increased can affect farming income. The aim of this research is to determine efforts to increase carrot farming income which tends to decrease need to be considered because the price of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides is increasing. Some farmers reduce the dose of fertilizer they use, so that the quality and quantity of carrot production is decreasing because carrots lack nutrients, one of the things that causes decreased productivity is the increase in fertilizer prices. Decreased productivity affects carrot farming income. The research was conducted in Sukanalu Village. Barusjahe District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. Determination of the Research Area was carried out purposively (intentionally) based on several specific considerations, namely in Sukanalu Village, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency. The sample determination was carried out using the Slovin formula, so that a sample size of 100 people was obtained, selected using simple random sampling. Hypothesis testing using the Coob-Douglas test is to determine the effect of the number of seeds (X1), fertilizer (X2), pesticides (X3), land area (X4), number of workers (X5), selling price (X6) and production (X7) on carrot farming income (Y). The results showed that carrot farming income in Sukanalu, Barusjahe District, Karo Regency was Rp35,359.505/Ha/Planting season. Simultaneously, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, land area and number of workers have a significant effect on carrot farming income. Partially, seeds,pesticides, land area, selling prices and production have a significant effect on carrot farming income, while the variables fertilizers and labor do not have a significant effect on carrot farming income.
