Tipe Kepribadian Tokoh Utama Dalam Novel So I Love My Ex Karya Arista Vee : Psikologi Sastra

Abstract

This research aims to describe the personality types of the character Aluna in the novel So I Love My Ex by Arista Vee. The data for this research is entirely sourced from the novel. To support the achievement of the research objectives, this study employs the personality theory developed by Hippocrates-Galenus as the basis for analyzing the character’s traits. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach to provide a detailed and in-depth depiction of the analysis, the character Aluna embodies all four personality types: sanguine, phlegmatic, melancholic, and choleric. However, among these types, the melancholic personality emerges as the most dominant. Aluna is portrayed as a sensitive, empathetic, and emotionally aware individual who often hides her inner wounds behind a cheerful facade. She appears strong and resilient in front of others while secretly harboring vulnerability. This research is expected to broaden the understanding of literature, serve as motivation for creating literary works that incorporate elements of literary psychology, and be used as reference for future related studies.
