This study aims to examine the effect of self-disclosure on loneliness in wives undergoing long distance marriage, as well as the role of social support as a moderating variable. This research employed a quantitative method using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The participants consisted of 227 wives in Indonesia currently engaged in long distance marriages, selected using the snowball sampling technique. The results indicated a significant negative effect of self-disclosure on loneliness, meaning that the higher the self-disclosure, the lower the level of loneliness experienced. Furthermore, social support also acted as a moderating variable that strengthened the relationship between self-disclosure and loneliness. These findings highlight the importance of self-disclosure and social support in reducing loneliness among wives in long distance marriages.
