    Abstract
An analysis has been conducted to determine the water content and dirt content in crude palm oil (Crude Palm Oil) from the storage results of storage tanks using the gravimetric method in palm oil processing at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VI Regional II and the Adolina Palm Oil Mill Business Unit, North Sumatra. The water content and dirt content were each carried out in 3 variations. The water content in crude palm oil (Crude Palm Oil) was determined by the gravimetric method. The sample was weighed as much as 10 grams then dried using an oven then cooled in a desiccator and weighed then the water content was calculated. While the dirt content was carried out using a water content sample that had been tested with the addition of 50 ml of N-Hexane solvent, then filtered using Whattman No. 41 filter paper in a gooch crucible and with aquadest solvent then dried using an oven then weighed and the dirt content was calculated. Crude palm oil samples were taken from the top, middle and bottom of the storage tank. The results of the analysis showed that 3 variations in water content were; 0.48%, 0.44%, and 0.40%, while the dirt content is; 0.21%, 0.20%, and 0.18% stated that the water content and dirt content still meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 01-2901-2006 which is 0.5%.
