Gotu kola is a medicinal plant that is widely used as a medicine for
dermatological and non-dermatological diseases. The demand for gotu kola extract
continues to increase but its availability is decreasing due to limited exploitation
and cultivation of gotu kola. In the current cultivation of gotu kola, inorganic
fertilizers are still used to increase production. Therefore, research is needed to
determine the effect of giving Corn Cob Compost and Liquid Organic Fertilizer
Combination of Banana Stem and Moringa Leaves based on the dosage of use in
increasing the biomass of gotu kola. This research was conducted on Jl. Harmonika
Baru, Padang Bulan Selayang II, Kec. Medan Selayang, Medan City, North
Sumatra, with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level. This research was
conducted from August 2024 to November 2024. This study used a Randomized
Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two treatment factors, namely the provision
of corn cob compost: 0; 6.25; 12.5; and 18.75 tons/ha and POC combination of
banana stump and moringa leaves: 0; 75; 150; and 225 mL/L. Data were analyzed
using analysis of variance, significant analysis of variance was continued using
Duncan's Multiple Range Test with a level of 5%. The results showed that the
provision of corn cob compost had a significant effect on increasing the biomass of
pegagan plants compared to plants that were not given corn cob compost. The best
treatment of corn cob compost fertilization was obtained at 12,5 tons/ha. Liquid
organic fertilizer combination of banana stump and moringa leaves and the
interaction between the two did not have a significant effect on all parameters.
