dc.description.abstract | The health of Watershed (DAS) is greatly influenced by hydrological aspects, such as surface flow coefficient, maximum and minimum discharge, river regime coefficient, water yield, water use index (IPA), and water balance. Bekala Sub Watershed, part of Deli Watershed, plays an important role as a rain catchment area and a source of raw water for Medan City. This study aims to evaluate the health condition of Bekala Sub Watershed based on hydrological parameters, and to analyze the factors that influence it. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the study showed that the surface flow coefficient ranged from 0.28–0.35 (moderate category), with a dominant sandy clay loam soil texture and poor porosity. The maximum and minimum discharges were in good condition, while the river regime coefficient was very low, indicating good hydrological stability. Water yield increased by 17.2% during 2019–2023, and the water use index remained in the good category. However, the water balance shows a deficit of -240.66 mm/year, so a water conservation strategy is needed to increase water availability | en_US |
