dc.description.abstractIndonesia is a country whose flour needs increase every year, especially rice flour. Based on data from the Center for Agricultural Data and Information Systems (Pusdatin Kementan) in the 2017 Food Consumption Statistics publication, per capita rice flour consumption in Indonesia was recorded at 0.263 kg per year. In Indonesia, there are several types of machines used to make flour, one of which is the FFC-15 disk mill type flouring machine tool. Disk mill type flour machine is a machine used to grind coarse raw materials or dry grains into flour with a certain fineness. This research aims to modify the household scale rice flour maker, by modifying the 126 mm, 152 mm and 178 mm pulleys, so as to find out which one is more efficient to use in the rice flour maker. The method used in this study uses the Non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method with rpm speed. The rpm speed variation is R1 2500 rpm, R2 2800 rpm, and R3 3100 rpm. The results showed that the effective capacity of the tool had the highest value in the R3 treatment which had a value of 54.94 kg / hour and the lowest was in the R1 treatment of 48.12 kg / hour. The yield value that has the highest value in treatment R3 is 269.2% and the lowest in treatment R1 with a value of 211%. The percentage value of leftover material that has the highest value in the R1 treatment is 32.6% and the lowest in the R3 treatment is 14.5%. From this study it can be concluded that the higher the rpm rotation, this happens because the higher the rpm, the more effective the tool in processing the material.en_US
