Analisis Daya Saing Ekspor Pala Indonesia di Pasar Internasional

Abstract

Indonesia is a major producer and exporter of nutmeg in the international market. However, the competitiveness of Indonesian nutmeg faces various challenges, resulting in increasingly fierce competition with other nutmeg-exporting countries in line with international market demand. This study aims to: 1) Analyzing the level of competitiveness of Indonesian nutmeg in the international market comparatively; 2) Analyzing the competitive position of Indonesian nutmeg exports against other major nutmeg-producing countries in the international market. This study uses the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) approaches to analyze comparative advantage, and Export Product Dynamics (EPD) analysis to analyze competitive advantage. The results of the RCA and RSCA analyses indicate that Indonesian nutmeg has a high comparative advantage, with an RCA value greater than 1 and an RSCA value approaching +1. Meanwhile, the EPD results analysis shows that Indonesian nutmeg has a competitive advantage as indicated by its market position in the Rising Star.
