Alih Kode Dalam Khutbah Ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah Pada Media Sosial Media Youtube (Kajian Sosiolinguistik)

Abstract

This research discusses code switching in the sermon of Ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah on YouTube social media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of code switching and the reasons for code switching in the sermons of Ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah on YouTube social media. This research uses the theory of code switching proposed by Lamhot Naibaho, and used descriptive qualitative approach method. The data were collected with through library research listening method and note-taking technique. The data in this study are the speech of ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah which contains code switching and the data source in this study is the video of ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah's lecture on the Syafiq Riza Basalamah Official youtube channel. The results of this study show that; there are thirty-nine utterances containing code switching, namely inter-sentential code switching/ between sentences totaling nineteen data, and intra-sentential code switching totaling fifteen data. Extra-sentential code switching/tag switching amoundted to five data points. The reason for the code switching in the sermon of ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah is to express solidarity where a speaker wants to express solidarity with a social group. The conclusion of this research is that the transitions contained in the khutbah do not use Arabic terms but only insert verses of the Qur'an and hadith.
