The Influence of Financial Literacy, Income, and Students' Lifestyle on Personal Financial Management on Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of financial literacy, income,
and lifestyle of students on personal financial management in students of the
Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. The population
in this study was 1,216 active students from the 2021 to 2022 semester of the
Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. The sample in
this study was 301 active students from the Development Economics, Management,
Accounting, and Entrepreneurship study programs from the 2021 to 2022 semester
of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. The
research data were obtained by distributing research questionnaires to active
students from the Development Economics, Management, Accounting, and
Entrepreneurship study programs from the 2021 to 2022 semester of the Faculty of
Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra. The analysis technique used
multiple linear analysis. The results of this study partially indicate that Financial
Literacy and Lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on Personal Financial
Management in Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of
North Sumatra, while Income has a negative and significant effect on Personal
Financial Management in Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business,
University of North Sumatra.
