This study aims to determine how the influence of infrastructure variables,
exchange rates, and political stability on foreign direct investment in ASEAN.
The type of research used is quantitative approach using panel data with a
time period of 2011-2023 obtained from the official websites of the World Bank and
Asian Development Bank. The object of research is ASEAN countries which include
Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia,
Myanmar, Laos, Brunei Darussalam. The data analysis technique in this study uses
multiple linear regression methods with testing using Eviews 12.
The results showed that the infrastructure variable had a positive and
insignificant effect on foreign direct investment in ASEAN. The exchange rate
variable has a positive and significant effect on foreign direct investment in ASEAN,
while the political stability variable has a negative but significant effect on foreign
direct investment in ASEAN.
