dc.description.abstractCosmetics in general, which are circulated by business actors, are circulated in accordance with the provisions stipulated by the Center for Drug and Food Control. However, there are also cosmetics circulating that do not comply with established standards or are also called illegal cosmetics. As for what makes the problem in this research, what legal arrangements apply and what are the factors of business actors selling illegal cosmetics in Medan in terms of a criminological perspective and how the countermeasures are made by the Center for Drug and Food Control in Medan in dealing with business actors who sell illegal cosmetics. This type of research is classified in the type of Empiric juridical research, because in this study the researcher directly conducts research in the field in order to provide a complete and clear picture of the problem being studied. This research was conducted at the Center for Drug and Food Control in Medan. For data collection tools, researchers used interviews, questionnaires and literature studies. The factors of business actors who distribute illegal cosmetics can be reviewed from a criminological perspective and law enforcement through applicable regulations as well as how the government and society in tackling the circulation of illegal cosmetics by business actors in Medan.en_US
