dc.description.abstract | Divorce is a social issue that can affect household stability and societal development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between various contributing factors and the number of divorce cases in regencies/cities across North Sumatra Province, using multiple linear regression analysis. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra and other relevant institutions. The independent variables include conflict, domestic violence, economic factors, and another factors. Classical assumption tests such as multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, and normality were conducted to ensure the reliability of the model. Furthermore, F- tests and t-tests were used to determine the significance of the model both simultaneously and partially. The multiple linear regression model is expected to provide insights into the extent to which these factors influence the divorce rate. This research is expected to serve as a reference for local governments in formulating preventive policies on divorce by focusing on the most significant contributing factors.
