The phenomenon of drug abuse that occurs among teenagers shows a trend that continues to increase every year. Many drug users repeat these behaviors even though they have undergone rehabilitation. In response to this phenomenon, the Church as part of the social system and structure in society has an important role to overcome this problem. Based on this phenomenon, this study was conducted which aims to analyze qualitatively with a phenomenological approach how the role of assistance of the Saint Konrad Parish Church in preventing drug abuse among Orang Muda Katolik (OMK). In addition, this study also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors and analyzes the impact of the assistance of St. Konrad Parish Church in the prevention of drug abuse among Orang Muda Katolik (OMK). The church actively builds a sense of unity through social interaction and provides education and support that has a profound impact on preventing Catholic youth from falling into drug abuse. Despite the view that the Church sometimes places too much emphasis on the spiritual aspect, the church's commitment to cooperation with other more competent parties and the support of the role of parents are one of the supporting factors for the prevention of drug abuse, despite obstacles such as limited funds and experts, negative environmental and mass media influences, and lack of public facilities for positive activities. The assistance provided by the Church has the impact of helping OMK’s understand correct social and moral values, build healthy relationships, stay away from risky actions, strengthen beliefs and morals, develop coping skills, and improve their quality of life.
