dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of economic growth, labor force participation rate and life expectancy on unemployment in North Sumatra. The type of research used is quantitative which uses secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) with a Cross Section of 33 Regencies/Cities and an observation period of 2017-2023. This study uses a panel data regression method. The results of the study through the fixed effect model are that Economic growth has a significant negative effect on unemployment in North Sumatra. TheSumatra Labor Force Participation Rate has a negative but insignificant effect on the unemployment rate in North Sumatra and Life Expectancy has a negative but insignificant effect on the unemployment rate in North Sumatra.en_US
