    Abstract
    The automatic braking system is an innovative technology designed to improve driving safety. This research developed an Arduino-based automatic braking system that uses LIDAR sensors to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle. The system works by analyzing the distance between the vehicle and the object in front of it, then activating the braking mechanism automatically using a servo motor controlled by the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique. The main goal of this system is to reduce the risk of accidents due to delays in the rider's response in braking. Tests are conducted with various distance and speed scenarios to measure the effectiveness of the system in detecting and responding to obstacles. The results of the experiment show that the system can detect objects with high accuracy and perform braking in optimal response time. With the implementation of this technology, it is expected to improve user safety, Especially in unexpected road conditions. The system can also be further developed with the integration of vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology to improve the efficiency and reliability of automatic braking.
