    Abstract
This study aims to develop and implement a thief movement monitoring system using ESP32, LoRa devices and with RCWL-0516 motion sensor detection. The results indicated system successfully generated notification alerts with a frequency of approximately 600 notifications per hour, totaling 14,400 notifications within 24 hours. These notifications were consistently delivered in real-time, indicating that the system operated effectively and reliably over extended periods. Testing was conducted at various distance ranges to measure the sensor's effectiveness. Sensor testing at different distances showed that it detected 10 movements at 1–5 meters, 8 at 6–8 meters, and only 2 at 9–10 meters within 10 seconds, indicating better accuracy at closer ranges. This study examines the effect of antenna height on LoRa communication range. Tests showed that at a height of 6 meters, data could be transmitted up to 1000 meters, while at 2 meters, the range dropped to 100 meters. The results confirm that higher antenna placement significantly improves LoRa transmission distance. The ESP32 device as a microcontroller, LoRa as a long-distance data transmission path and the RCWL-0516 sensor as its motion detection sensor. Data is sent from each node installed on each asset. The thief is detected on one of the NodeSensor or NodeGate devices which each contain an RCWL-0516 motion sensor, then the data is sent from the NodeSensor to the NodeGate and then forwarded to the user notification system, namely on the user's Telegram bot account. This research also develops a system for sending sensor data from each node to the ThingsBoard cloud server. This system is useful for detecting the presence of thieves around assets.
