Proses Kandidasi Partai Politik dalam Pilkada Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Tahun 2024

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of a single candidate in the Serdang Bedagai district election and the coalition of parties that entirely support the pair Darma Wijaya and Adlin Tambunan. The candidacy process should be evidence of the good running of a party but it does not happen. This research aims to find out how the candidacy process carried out by political parties and the single candidate's strategy to convince local parties to support the pair. This research uses political recruitment theory and candidacy theory as the theoretical framework. The research method used is qualitative in the form of a case study. The results of this study show the process that occurred during the candidacy period and the strategies used by candidate pairs to convince parties.
