Improving employee performance is a top priority for PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Kantor Cabang Deli Serdang in supporting the achievement of production and service targets. In a dynamic work environment, achieving optimal performance is the main goal of every organization. Employee engagement and workload are two factors that can influence performance, both directly and through work motivation. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of employee engagement and workload on employee performance through work motivation as a mediating variable at PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Kantor Cabang Deli Serdang. This is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. The total population and sample consist of 89 employees of PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Kantor Cabang Deli Serdang. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that employee engagement has a direct positive and significant effect on employee performance, while workload has a direct negative and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation also has a direct positive and significant effect on employee performance and is the most significant factor influencing employee performance. Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, whereas workload has a negative and significant effect on work motivation. Indirectly, employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through the mediation of work motivation, while workload has a negative and significant effect on employee performance through the mediation of work motivation.
