Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair Jakaba Terhadap Produktivitas Rumput Raja (Pennisetum Purpuhoides)
Effect of Jakaba Liquid Organic Fertilizer on King Grass (Pennisetum purpuphoides) Productivity.
Abstract
King grass is a type of superior grass that is easy to cultivate and has high
production potential and nutritional content. The obstacles that often occur in the
cultivation of king grass include the use of inappropriate fertilizers on marginal
soils such as ultisol soils. POC Jakaba is a liquid organic fertilizer made from
fermented rice washing water. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect
of Jakaba liquid organic fertilizer with different doses on the productivity of king
grass (Pennisetum purpuphoides) on ultisol soil media. The research was
conducted at the Greenhouse & Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture,
University of North Sumatra and the analysis of Jakaba POC was carried out at the
North Sumatra Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP). The
research was conducted from September to December 2024. This study used a
completely randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments namely P0 = No POC
Jakaba, P1 = 25 ml/liter of water, P2 = 50 ml/liter of water, P3 = 75 ml/liter of
water and P4 = 100 ml/liter of water with 4 replications. The observed variables
were plant height, leaf length, number of tillers, fresh weight production and dry
weight production.
The results of the study with the addition of POC Jakaba gave a significantly
different effect on plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight production, dry
weight production and significantly different on leaf length. The addition of POC
Jakaba with the best results was obtained in the P4 treatment (100 ml/liter of
water). The higher the dose of POC Jakaba the plants tend to give an increase for
all parameters.
