The purpose of this research is to identify the types and to interpret the meaning of hate speech found in the comments on Beyoncé's Instagram account. The theory of hate speech by Mondal et al. was used to find out the types of hate speech used in the comments on Beyoncé's Instagram account. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method. The data was collected from sentences, words, and phrases within the comments that contained hate speech expressions. The result shows that there are 7 types of hate speech found in the comments on Beyoncé's Instagram account, 30 of behaviour, 12 of race, 8 of religion, 7 of physical, 4 of gender, 3 of ethnicity, and 3 of class. The result supports the idea that hate speech is a prevalent and complex phenomenon in online communication.en_US
