Analisis Dampak Museum Tsunami terhadap Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Kelurahan Suka Ramai Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of the tsunami museum on the welfare of the people of Suka Ramai Village, Banda Aceh City. This type of research is descriptive research with a survey method and uses quantitative data. The population in this study were tourists who visited the Tsunami Museum and the Suka Ramai Village Community. The sample used in this research was 100 tourists and 89 members of the public. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires and short interviews. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and Difference Test or Sample T Test. Data processing in research uses SPSS. Based on the research results, it was found that the attraction and reason for visitors to travel and visit the Tsunami Museum is to see the museum and see the collections and things contained in the Tsunami Museum. The main attraction for tourists is that the Tsunami Museum contains historical values that tells the story of the impact of the tsunami and the enormity of the tsunami that occurred in 2004 in the city of Banda Aceh. The existence of the Tsunami Museum has had a significant impact on the economic conditions of the Suka Ramai community both in terms of income and the level of ease in earning income after the existence of the tsunami museum. Based on the results of the t test or difference test, it can be seen that there is a significant difference in the average level of income of the people of Suka Ramai Village before and after the Tsunami Museum existed.
