The problems identified within the company include several employees who are still unable to nieet the performance targets assigned to them, employees feeling that the company's targets and job demands are too high—resulting in stress— lack of cohesion in relationships. among coworkers, insufficient initiative in carrying out tasks, and employeesfeeling that their basic needs are not being met. Therefore, this study aims to examine and analyze the influence of work stress, physical work environment, and work motivation on employee performance. The population in this study consists of marketing employees at Bank Syariah Indonesia Tapaktuan, using a saturated sample of 52 employees. Data collection techniques used include questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique employed in this research is SmartPLS (Partial Least Squares). The results show that work stress has a negative and significant effect on both employee performance and work motivation. Thework environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work motivation. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation does not mediate the influence of work stress on employee performance, but it does mediate the influence ofthe work environment on employee performance among employees at Bank Syariah Indonesia Tapaktuan.
